Our Management Team

The Management Team under the leadership of the CEO take responsibility for the day to day management of the organisation. There are currently 74 paid staff and over 60 volunteers spread across 7 bureaux and an administrative base.

Our Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is made up of people who live or work in Fife. They have overall responsibility for finances, resources including staff and premises, health and safety and policies and procedures. The Board meets regularly, four or five times a year. There is an annual business planning day and a five year business planning cycle. There are two officers of the board, a chairperson and vice-chairperson. The company secretary is currently the CEO, who is also a director. All other directors are elected annually.

The prime functions of CARF’s Board of Directors are:

  • To ensure the organisation has sufficient funds and resources
  • To ensure Citizens Advice Scotland Membership standards are met
  • To meet legal obligations
  • To act as an employer of all paid staff

CARF have the following internal work groups that report into the Board:

  • Volunteer and Staff Development
  • Social Policy
  • Learning and Best Practice
  • ICT
  • Development Team (organisational change)
