Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) is an independent organisation providing holistic advice and support across Fife. As our service grows, we are recruiting a Carers Income Maximisation Worker to support unpaid carers.

In this role, you will deliver tailored advice to help carers understand and access their full income and benefit entitlements, working via phone and face-to-face appointments at outreach locations and CARF offices. You will also support project development by partnering with local organisations, carer networks, and health and social care professionals, and may deliver awareness sessions or attend community events.

You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and social security legislation, ensuring accurate advice and high-quality service delivery.

We are seeking someone with a good standard of education, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for helping others. Experience in advice work or knowledge of the social security system, particularly for carers, is desirable but not essential. You must be able to explain complex information clearly, work independently and in a team, and uphold CARF’s values and mission.

For an informal discussion about the position, please contact Isla Caldwell, Service Delivery Manager at [email protected] or on 01592 765450.

We are committed to Equal Opportunities and applications are welcome from all communities.

The closing date for applications is 12noon on Wednesday 1st July 2026 with interviews scheduled to take place on Wednesday 8th July 2026
