What does a Board member do in CARF?

Our Board members are local people with an interest and/or expertise in management issues, who represent the interests of the people of Fife. The Board has considerable responsibility for issues such as:

  • Financial management such as budget review, fundraising and planned service developments
  • Promotion and awareness raising to make sure that people living or working in Fife know that they can turn to CARF for free, confidential advice and information
  • Supporting excellent service delivery through working with the CARF management team and Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) to make sure that quality standards are being maintained
  • Strategic planning, including developing CARF’s business plan and monitoring its implementation
  • Good employment practice: CARF must lead the way as an employer of paid staff.
